For Gear of War: E-Day, I was first to be brought on board as the cinematics writer, but my work soon grew to involve writing for campaign missions, collectibles, ADing for recording sessions, and even the junior-est of junior narrative design.

I’m so proud of what the story team put together. On the cinematics front, it was amazing to see scripts I wrote brought to life by such a talented group of performers, directors, storyboard artists, layout artists, animators, lighters and audio designers. I lost count of the shiver-inducing moments I experienced as I got to witness each new step in their creation. It’s been amazing to see fan reactions to ideas I pitched, such as the particularly brutal moment in the intro to the game’s big bad, as revealed in the Official Story Trailer (contains spoilers!)
On-stick, I was so fortunate to work with some of the best narrative designers in the biz at TC and People Can Fly. The creativity, attention to detail, the problem solving, and that drive to push our work to be just that much better, the characters just that bit more in this world, all show up in game.
