This Side of West published three pieces of my writing in their 2017 issue. This included my short story, “Observations in a Burning House,” and two poems, “intervention” and “Family Anthropology.”

“Observations in a Burning House” is themed around voyeurism, privacy, decay and breach of trust, following a firefighter into the titular burning house.

This Side of West is a literary magazine published by undergraduate creative writing students at the University of Victoria. I’d like to thank fiction editor Sara Bayat for pushing me develop the physicality of this story and helping it become more active.
