The Serpent Descends on Arkhona

Fiction
FanFiction_contest_social_networks

In 2014, my entry “The Serpent Descends on Arkhona” to the Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade Descent to Arkhona fiction contest, judged by Black Library author Graham McNeill, was selected as one of the finalists. In his comments, Graham had this to say about my story:

I liked the sense of speed this story conveyed, and the sense of ferocity I felt from the Wild Riders. Adrian nailed the alien nature of the Eldar as well as the horror of the Tyranids.

While Eternal Crusade‘s servers and forums have since shut down, I later adapted parts of this piece into my Black Library published short story “Path of Grief” in 2019, which would eventually be included in an anthology alongside Graham McNeill.
