Da Stink of Defeat

A book cover for a story set in the fantasy setting of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, titled "Da Stink of Defeat." It features the leering face of an Orruk, who wears a helmet sporting five jagged blades pointing skywards and a red icon of a snarling face. The Orruk's face is green, his eyes red, and he sticks his tongue out between his sharp teeth. Chains dangle from the Orruk's helmet, supporting a brace of six skulls.

I’m elated to have my latest short story, ‘Da Stink of Defeat,’ published as part of the Black Library Advent 2024 eShorts! It was an absolute delight to step back into the worlds of Warhammer. This story is my first in the Age of Sigmar, as well as my first with any Orruk/Ork faction. The perspective of the Kruleboyz was an absolute blast to write in. Everything from the dialogue, priorities, and deadly schemin’ were total departures what I’ve previously written, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with them some more!

A massive thank you to my editor at Black Library for all of their phenomenal feedback throughout the entire writing process and krumpin’ this story into shape.

Once I have more information, I’ll update this page to include credit for the cover art.
