“How to Write a Eulogy for Your Goldfish”

“How to Write a Eulogy for Your Goldfish” was published in the Volume 1 Issue 2 Plumwood Mountain, an Australian eco-poetics magazine. The poem was written after my fourteen year old goldfish died. I wrote the poem in an attempt to capture the strange feeling of the loss.

“The First Thing You do When Lost is Build Shelter”

“The First Thing You do When Lost is Build Shelter” recounts an evening in the wilderness of southern Québec, during my time at Katimavik. The poem was tied for second in the University of Victoria’s Diversity Writing Contest of 2012.
